About Chinese Zodiac

The Chinese zodiac is a traditional classification system that assigns an animal and its reputed attributes to each year in a repeating 12-year cycle. The 12 zodiac animals are: Rat, Ox, Tiger, Rabbit, Dragon, Snake, Horse, Sheep, Monkey, Rooster, Dog, and Pig.

In addition to the animal signs, Chinese astrology also incorporates the Five Elements (Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal, and Water) which rotate in a 5-year cycle. The combination of an animal sign and an element creates a 60-year cycle.

According to Chinese astrology, your birth year determines your zodiac animal sign and element, which are believed to influence your personality, career path, and compatibility with others.
